On March 27, 2025, we officially presented the TELLUS 4CER project proposal as part of the public call for proposals promoted by the Ministry of the Environment and Energy Security (MASE) dedicated to research and innovation on the value chain of Critical Raw Materials (CRM) and Strategic Raw Materials (SRM).
TELLUS 4CER stems from the need to address one of the most pressing challenges for the ceramics sector: reducing dependence on critical raw materials and developing solutions to integrate Recycled Raw Materials (RRM) in a controlled, safe, and traceable manner.
The project brings together industrial and academic expertise with a common goal:
to develop waste recovery and purification technologies,
to define new sustainable ceramic formulations,
to introduce digital tools for material traceability.
If approved, TELLUS 4CER will represent a concrete step towards a more resilient and sustainable ceramic supply chain, helping to reduce energy consumption, cut emissions, and optimize the use of resources.
The project is co-financed by MASE and is part of the international Mission Innovation 2.0 framework, contributing to the transition towards a more efficient and responsible manufacturing industry.
